hours for assistance:tuesday, wednesday and friday9:00am - 11:30amthe alms house began out of a need recognized by five local pastors. as people came to their doors seeking assistance. the alms house was established in 1984, involving twelve churches in the local area (s). the alms house is an irs recognized non-profit agency.we assist with utilities, medicine, food, clothing, household items, school supplies and bibles.the alms house coordinate with the hope mills area school social workers to deliver bags to children on friday who have nothing to eat over the weekend. kids assistance program - kapwe are determined that no child should go hungry! requirements:referrals from the cumberland county department of social services is required.for more information, please call.
